THINK

What body system would you like to focus on today?

Work in groups of 3-4 and choose a body system you would like to learn about.

Research about your body system, making sure to identify the purposes of each part and how they work together.

Sketch your model. If you were to pick 1-2 pieces of information that can be explained in an interactive way, what would these be?

What materials will you need?

Body Systems

  • Circulatory System

  • Skeletal System

  • Respiratory System

  • Muscular System

  • Nervous System

MAKE

What body system would you like to focus on today?

Build your design.

Create your code using Microbit's editor: https://makecode.microbit.org/

Test it out!

Coding Tip #1

Program LEDs to light up in a specific way. Use a specific color in your model.

Coding Tip #2

Make a body part move using servos.

The video below will show you how to connect the servo to your microbit.

Use the code to make the servos move.

Coding Tip #3

Create or add a sound that a body part makes.

First, connect the audio to the microbit. Headphones or external speakers work.

Then create your own sound using the play tone block.

IMPROVE

Review the work you have done so far. How might you improve on your model? Is there anything that needs to be fixed?
